General Board FAQ
Can I name my account Harry Potter?
No. You can't name it 'Professor Snape' or 'Rubeus Hagrid' or anything else that has a canon Harry Potter connotation to it... or a canon anything else connotation to it (That means James Logan Halliwell too ya smartasses.)

What are all these acronyms you're using?
Good question. No, really, it is. PC is Player Character. NPC is Non Player Character. OC is Original Character (Which is what everyone's character on this board should be), CC is Canon Character (Which is like... Oliver Wood). FAQ is Frequently Asked Questions, for those who need to know.
Can I badger an admin/mod?
No. Don't badger me with 'hi' PMs. Those really piss me off. If you're going to ask a question in PM form, go right ahead, I don't mind... and the same rules apply for the other admins/mods. I didn't put their profile links up so you could badger them to death.

Okay. I know there are character relationship threads... I know there are cool boards with cool stuff... but if every board was like everyone else's board, it would get a little boring.

What's godmodding?
Godmodding, on this board, as well as most other boards, is when a character does something that... is just plain goddish, whether it be doing triple backflips when it says they aren't supposed to, to dodging every bullet that comes flying at them, to saying that they've killed a character (Or minor controlling even!)
Why was I told I couldn't say that someone sighed?
Though it's a rather small form of character controlling, it's character controlling nonetheless. We don't like it when people get into the habit of something bad, and it's easier to just not do it then to try to get ya'll out.
Can I conduct a class?
Two questions. First, are you a teacher? If not, stop there, I'll smack you myself if you aren't. Second, are there three classes going on? If not, make sure that someone isn't running a class for the year you want to teach before you go off and start a topic. If Flying class is dealing with second years, then no other class can teach second years until Flying is FINISHED!!!!
Can I suddenly say my parents are Harry Potter and Ginny Weasely?
Only if you are a canon child of Harry and Ginny.
Isn't Neville the Herbology Professor?
This board is set in a slightly different, alternate reality setting, as so people can play what they want to when they want to. Any characters that have high characterization in the Harry Potter novels are not going to be available for play here, sorry.
