~+Physical Statistics+~
Height: 5’5
Weight: 109 lbs.
Hair Color and Style: Her hair is pin straight and a brownish-red color. She styles it differently given her mood on a particular day, but usually it’s left down, sometimes curly.
Eyes: Dark brown and very Japanese-looking.
Face: Daphne has a round face with slightly puffy cheeks that make her look younger than she is, especially when she pouts. She has smooth, pale skin that is free of blemishes, and a small, cute nose.
Figure: Extremely skinny. She has just enough meat on her bones to prevent her from being hideous, but she still looks a tad unhealthy. Admittedly, she doesn’t eat much, maybe one meal a day, so she’s borderline anorexic. As such, her bust size is A.
Tattoos, Scars, and Distinguishing Features: No tattoos, no scars, and the only thing that sets her apart from everyone else are her cheeks and her constantly vacant expression.
Jewelry: Daphne doesn’t load herself down with jewelry, but she does adorn herself with a little bit to compliment whatever she is wearing. She has both ears pierced twice, as well as her bellybutton.
Clothing Style: Fashionable. She doesn’t care how uncomfortable her clothes or shoes are, as long as she looks good in them. She tends to be drawn to pinks, purples, and pale blues, but will never be caught dead in green, brown, or gray.
~+Personality Statistics+~
Interaction: On her side of a relationship, she gets along with anyone who doesn’t insult her (assuming she’d recognize the insult) or hurt her in some way. She is a social butterfly, but not in the sense that she wants as many acquaintances as possible and doesn’t care about the value of the friendship. She actually treats everyone as if they were her best friend in the world, which sometimes results in her feelings being hurt when someone has to make her realize they aren’t friends and never will be. Daphne is a very open person and very trusting of others, leading her to be very opposed to inter-house rivalry. She has never taken part in the prejudice that goes around the school, particularly toward the Slytherins (no matter how true the stereotype may be). She treats everyone equally until they do something to lose her favor.
To other people, she is often found to be intolerably dense. Ravenclaws in particular try to avoid her like the plague for the simple reason that she might make their brains explode. She talks a lot and always has an opinion on everything, but her logic behind it is just hard to understand at times. While it may make perfect sense in her head, rarely will anything she thinks of make sense to anyone else. Her gullibility also makes her a perfect target to be used by the conniving Slytherins, if they could stand her for long enough to use her for their own purposes.
She also has a moderate case of narcolepsy, so it isn’t uncommon for her to fall asleep in the middle of doing something, whether she’s talking to someone or walking down the hallway. This is extremely disconcerting to other people, especially when Daphne acts as if nothing happened when she regains consciousness (sometimes because she is so used to this happening that it’s normal for her, and sometimes because she honestly doesn’t remember it happening). An occasional loss of muscle function also makes it hard to understand what she’s saying sometimes, as if it wasn’t difficult enough to begin with.
Inner Being: Daphne is hardly any different when alone, including her tendency to talk a lot. If no one else is around, she’ll just talk to herself or to the numerous stuffed animals that reside on her bed. When she was young, she even made up a secret language for her and her toys (even though it was just gibberish and another human being could never actually learn it). She sometimes still talks like this, but only when she’s extremely upset about something and doesn’t want anyone else to understand what she’s saying.
Other than constant talking, she occupies her alone time by planning out her clothes for the next day, playing with her hair, filing and painting her nails, and most often sleeping. Needless to say, she does not spend her time productively in the slightest.
Intelligence: She doesn’t do well in her classes because she hates reading, doesn’t pay attention, and doesn’t do the work. It’s questionable whether she would do any better if she actually applied herself. She just barely passed them enough in the past to move on to the next year, and now she’s hoping to make it to graduation. The only reason she’s bothering is because it would mean a lot to her parents if she finished school and got a good job. She’s not sure about the job part, but she can at least stay in school and see what happens there. After all, that’s where her friends will be.
The only school subject that she has any semblance of skill in is Divination, and that’s due in part to her vivid imagination. She has no real skill in Seeing, but because she believes so completely in her predictions, she could make a convincing fortune-teller. She’s definitely good enough to convince her professor.
Daphne also has no common sense at all and frequently does very stupid things. All in all, she’s generally considered the moron of her very large group of friends, though she’s good for a laugh most of the time. She also hardly ever realizes that people are laughing at her and will join in with them because, hey, life’s better with laughter! Even if you aren’t entirely sure what you’re laughing at. Even when it does occur to her that she’s being laughed at, she doesn’t get upset by it and instead admits that what she did was stupid and funny and joins in anyways.
Fears: The only thing that really scares her is when she sometimes wakes up unable to move. It’s a symptom of her narcolepsy, and it’s completely harmless, but she fears that next time it happens she’ll be paralyzed forever.
Goals: To graduate and make her parents happy, to make the world a happy place.
Good Characteristics: Neat, clean, dressy, loyal, friendly, kind, fair, cheerful, hates House prejudice
Bad Characteristics: Attention whore, slight perfectionist, unintelligent, mildly narcissistic, avoids hard work, adopts a very high-pitched voice when upset or excited, very slow learner, gullible
Secrets: It’s not really a secret because she doesn’t actively take measures against people finding out, but not many people know that she’s never had a boyfriend. Most people just assume she has because she’s so popular.
Likes: Beauty, gifts, attention, admiration, social events, shopping, manicures, pedicures, facials, dressing up, kittens, coffee, making friends, getting along with everyone, Divination class
Dislikes: Being confused, sloppiness, ugliness, dirt, being rushed, geniuses, reading, doing homework, slobbery dogs, Transfiguration class, people nagging her to eat more
~+Abilities and Possessions+~
Special Abilities: Absolutely nothing. She wasn’t born with anything magically interesting, and she can’t even produce a proper Patronus.
Magical Strengths: Quidditch, divination, charms
Magical Weaknesses: Transfiguration, dueling, astronomy, Muggles

Wand Properties: 9½ inches, cherry wood, augurey tail feather core, whippy

~+History and Family Information+~
Family: Her mother, Naoko (nee Kinjo) Blydon, is a homemaker and dotes upon her only child as much as possible. She has always wanted what’s best for Daphne and tries very hard to nudge her in the right directions, even if it’s futile most of the time. Her father, Cedric Blydon, is a mediwizard who is almost always on call for his job and spends long hours at work. He still manages to have a family life, though, and while Naoko is the doting mother, he is the somewhat stern yet kind father who tries to keep his daughter on the right path in life.
Pets: None. She can’t be trusted to pay enough attention to be responsible for the life of another living thing.
History: Naoko was born into a very strict Japanese family that had recently moved to Britain due to turmoil in the Japanese wizarding community. She was raised to speak English, of course, but her parents wanted her to learn about and embrace her Japanese heritage so they taught her all they could about their country. Naoko appreciated this, but felt that because they now lived in Britain (and had, in fact, fled Japan for more reasons than one), they should be happy about where they lived now rather than where they used to live. Unfortunately, her parents didn’t see eye to eye with her on that point and she was stuck being a “proper young Japanese woman.”
Luckily for Naoko, she spent the majority of her time away from her parents and their strict rules. At Hogwarts, where she was Sorted into Hufflepuff, she led a normal teenager’s life, full of drama, romance, and trouble all rolled into one package. When she first started dating her childhood crush, the Gryffindor boy Cedric Blydon, it was kept a secret from her family, who wanted her to find a “nice Japanese man.” Their secret love affair continued until they graduated from school, when Cedric proposed and Naoko had to finally spill the beans to her parents.
She was on very shaky grounds with her parents, her mother especially, after that. She was constantly being lectured as her family tried to convince her that Cedric was a “no-good British man with no morals or honor.” Ignoring them, they grew farther and farther apart.
Cedric quickly found his calling in the healing arts, going on to study Magical Medicine and Healing at a wizarding university, borrowing money from his parents so he could focus on his schooling and not have to worry about working on the side. He earned his degree after four years and quickly found a job in St. Mungo’s. However, after a while he felt confined while working with bed-ridden patients and started working part-time as a mediwizard (basically the equivalent of a Muggle paramedic). Finding this profession more satisfying, even if it wasn’t looked upon as highly as being a straight Healer, he moved into that full-time.
Naoko, on the other hand, dabbled in “low-status” jobs for a while to support the two of them while her husband earned his degree. Her first job was as a dish-washer at the Leaky Cauldron, but that only lasted for about a year before she became very sick and had to quit her job. Cedric’s parents supported them until she got back on her feet, and she resumed work at the Leaky Cauldron but this time as a barmaid.
It wasn’t until Naoko found out she was pregnant that her mother made efforts to renew their relationship. After all, having grandchildren was her lifelong dream (purely Japanese grandchildren, but beggars can’t be choosers) so if she didn’t try to be nice she would never be involved in his or her life. The snide comments about Cedric didn’t completely cease, but it was evident that she was trying so very hard to be civil that Naoko forgave her and began to mend their relationship.
Daphne was born in late September as a very healthy baby that was immediately doted upon by all of the women in the family. Her mother did not return to work after that, instead staying home to watch after her daughter. As she grew up, her grandmother insisted that she be taught to speak Japanese, and after countless arguments with her mother Naoko finally agreed. However, even at the age where it should have been incredibly easy to teach her such a thing, Daphne never caught on and continued to speak in her father’s native language. Grandma was mildly disappointed but forgave the poor girl for her inadequacies.
It was clear by the age of seven that Daphne had some sort of medical problem. She was constantly falling asleep during the day, sometimes even when she was in the middle of doing things, and when she was feeling some sort of strong emotion her facial muscles sometimes seemed to droop and her speech became slurred. There were even times where she would collapse, her legs completely unable to hold her up anymore. Her symptoms did not seem particularly serious so the only one who noticed it was her father, who had her tested at a Muggle hospital (since there were no magical ways of testing for narcolepsy). She was diagnosed and given medication, but Daphne only took it when her parents forced her to. Needless to say, when she started school and escaped their watchful eyes, she went completely off her meds.
She has always been a friendly sort of person, a trait that she undoubtedly gained from her parents. She enjoys the company of her peers and has always held her friendships in high regard.
This past summer, a life-changing thing happened. Her parents’ friends, the Kirpatricks, arranged an engagement between her and their son, Kane. Even though she has never known him very well, she was ecstatic upon hearing the news and has been dreaming of the giant rock that will soon be strapped to her left ring finger. And to think, she didn’t even have to start dating to get herself a fiancé!
