Player Name:Supreme Admin Lady of Doom Cassie
Activity Level: Well I think I've proven to be on just about as much as the head administrator... *shot*
Other Characters: This is the last one for awhile. The other two are Rosenthorn the Headmistress and Rena the sixth year Gryffindor.
~+Basic Statistics+~
Full Name: Hatsuharu Smith
Nicknames: Haru, Emo Teach, Professor Emo, Emu (only to his sister...), Professor 007, Professor Bond, James Bond
Position: DADA Professor
Length of Employment: Quite literally two days
Age: 28
Birthday: January 6th
Ethnicity: Asian American
Bloodline: He is pureblood, but he was raised in a halfblood household.
Current Residence: He honestly has no real place to live right now.
~+Physical Statistics+~
Height: 6'2" Absolutely no one in his family knows how he got so tall, seeing as how his birth mother is this extremely short Asian woman, his father is three inches below him, and his half sister looks like she could blend into a crowd full of midgets if she tried hard enough.
Weight: 143 lbs.
Hair Color and Style: Naturally, his hair used to be black. However, due to an unfortunate incident with becoming a 'Blast Ended Skrewt' in school (and the pure fact that he never really bothered fixing the issue), it changes from time to time, sometimes based on his mood, but sometimes based on just general randomness. He has rather messy looking, but short cut hair, due mostly in part to twin siblings that just have no concept of the words 'Please do not mess with my hair.' He seems to have that run of luck with his lovely locks.
Eyes: Deep chocolate brown, and they look like semi-large almonds.
Face: He still has a slightly boyish look to his face, causing him to look about five years younger than he really is.
Figure: Lanky, to say the least. Hatsuharu is one of those guys that eats much too much but sometimes has absolutely no way of gaining a pound; something that many girls tend to get jealous about, but he does not like it one bit. He would much rather be overfed and fat than overfed and unhealthily skinny.
Tattoos, Scars, and Distinguishing Features: He has a strange, star shaped birthmark on his lower left shoulder. Any scars are pretty much from either a battle or when he was a child, but none are worth noting individually.
He has many tattoos, a form of souvenir that he obtained from every country he traveled to. There are so many of them, that he tends to get lost in trying to explain them all. Some of them include a Chinese Fireball, a Nundu, a mystical kangaroo from Australia, and a mermaid girl that he claims is an artist's rendition of the description he gave of the mermaid who saved his life off the coast of Italy.
Jewelry: At first, Hatsuharu had a goal to travel the world and obtain a piercing from every country he managed to pull off. However, he found this task not only a little strange, but not as professional as he wanted to be originally. Instead, he settled for one eyebrow ring. As for other jewelry, he rarely wears anything aside from a protective charm bracelet, gifted to him by a good friend of his.
Clothing Style: Hatsuharu's clothing style seems like it comes from a mix of Hot Topic and JC Penny's, and it is hard to tell sometimes whether it comes from the boys' or girl's section. He likes wearing form fitting shirts and pants, usually under his teaching robes, and usually of the blue color (if he were to affiliate himself with a house, it would be Ravenclaw.) Sometimes he has his clothing match his hair for what seems to be most of the day, but since no one can ever tell with him, he will usually clash it on purpose.
~+Personality Statistics+~
Interaction: Hatsuharu has always acted rather well with anyone who wants to play nice with him. People who hold authority positions much higher than him either get one of two sides of an insanely twisted spoon; either they are someone he will talk to, or they will someone he will 'snarky comment' at. Rarely does he choose the second one, unless this 'authority figure' decides that they deserve that level of snark, but, sometimes they prove to him that they are indeed not worthy of anything but, and then and only then will he whip it out and let it loose for all its worth.
Students, on the other hand, he knows how to deal with rather well. Those who wish to succeed in any of his classes will, whether they just coast through by their coattails or they happen to be the most intelligent student of his/her year, he understands how teenagers get. He was one at one point. He will also dish out sarcasm when he finds it completely necessary, and when he is absolutely certain there is a student who can take it.
As he tends to be relatively sarcastic most of the time, and, at first glance, people tend to not like that, he usually keeps stoic, mainly because if he speaks, he usually ends up either getting sneered at or just plain ostracized. Since he is so used to America's ideal of sarcasm and 'keeping your mouth shut.... but not really,' sometimes he feels a little out of place in Britain, but it does not stop him from being dear Hatsuharu.
Inner Being: If Hatsuharu Smith seems to be incredibly secure and level-headed, it is simply because of this one fact:
He is the most secure and level headed guy one will ever meet.
Does this mean he has no insecurities? No, he gets those from time to time. He also has the ability to go into a mental breakdown. However, most of the time, one will find that Hatsuharu is the same cool-headed man on the inside as he is on the outside. Most of his history before schooling has been obliviated, and even some time during that, from his head as so he can protect those that he loves, so he has no reason, or no real want, to second guess himself, or take a look back at what he had, simply because he does not remember it. He understands the concepts of all that family and friends stuff, and, incredibly deep down, he does wish he could have that all back again, but he is not going to fuss over it. When he's done, his memories are going to be given back to him and he will not have a care in the world after that.
Intelligence: Impeccable. If it is in a book, there is a good chance he has read the book, and there is an even better chance he knows it and possibly understands the concepts behind it. He can spout out any fact from any book he had to read during his academic career, and probably about ten to twelve more. His understandings of practical magicks are astounding, he has the ability to speak up to twenty different languages, and he knows his way in and out of politics like the back of his hand. Hatsuharu knows a great deal about the subjects of Transfiguration, Potions, Charms, Defensive Magicks, and the Dark Arts, and dabbles into other things simply to know his way around them. He is a veritable 'know-it-all,' or 'know-it-most,' as he likes to call himself. He knows that he does not 'know-it-all,' and, when he does come up to something he does not know, he subsequently learns it and keeps it in his vast memory.
Fears: That he well never get his memory back. He also knows that there are seven people out there that are a danger to society, and if he does not see to it that they are apprehended and taken care of, then he fears that society will have another Wizarding War on their hands, and he does not want that to happen.
Goals: Apprehending Dark Arts users, Protecting the Wizarding and Muggle worlds
Good Characteristics: Intelligent, Level-Headed, Adapts well, Patient, Responsible
Bad Characteristics: Anti-social, Distant, Over-Protective, Over-Zealous,
Secrets: He is a Delphic. If he had any other secrets, he does not remember them at all.
Likes: Various forms of reading material, languages, traveling, intelligent people
Dislikes: The Dark Arts, green flashes of light (maybe except the traffic kind), flying, idiots, abusive authority figures, British students cowering at the name 'Voldemort'
~+Abilities and Possessions+~
Special Abilities: He is skilled in Occlumency and Apparition. He cannot conjure a corporeal Patronus while under extreme pressure, but, when he needs to get a message across, his ferret Patronus will take care of the task. He is a registered Animagus, and his form is of the legendary Sianach.
Magical Strengths: He is a wonderful manipulator at Transfiguration and the Protective Arts, and can brew a Potion that rivals the great Horace Slughorn. Anything else he has the ability in is just about average.
Magical Weaknesses: He cannot use a broom worth the life of him, and no one quite understands why. Divination, Herbology, and some of the more advanced Charms work is much too hard for him to get his mind to comprehend, and it frustrates him greatly. Also, he reacts rather strangely to the Killing Curse.
Other Abilities: He can speak quite a few languages. (Current List: English, Spanish, French, Gaelic, Portuguese, Goblin, Troll, Basic Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Mermish, and light Gobbledegook.) He can read English, Spanish, French, Gaelic, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Wand Properties: He has a beautiful, Springy Rowan wand, at 13'', with a core of Ashwinder Ash.
Possessions: He has a Time-Turner.
~+History and Family Information+~
Family: His adopted mother, as he knows he was adopted by a wonderful woman, was a witch who crammed half of his schooling into his brain. She was a nurturing and happy woman, whoever she was, and loved him dearly. He has an adopted father by her, and three siblings that he does not remember at all, but they are all Muggles as far as he knows. He does not remember anything at all about his blood relations, nor if he ever knew them to begin with. As a matter of fact, any friend or family member he may have had during the times before his hiring as a Delphic.
Pets: He has one pet, a deep gray kneazle by the name of Nutters.
History: Hatsuharu Smith was born under... special circumstances... to a young, naive woman who had young, not-so-naive friends who were trying to play quite a cruel little trick on Hatsuharu's jackass of a father. He ended up at an American adoption center, and promptly adopted by a couple who seemed to have all the right signs of being able to raise a child with love and care.
The couple who adopted him did seem to have all the signs of being loving, caring, and nurturing, at least until he turned 7 years old and began to receive owls from various wizarding schools. When the owl came from the nearby Salem Hall (Wizarding elementary school in America), his father began to think his adopted son a freak (as Muggles, both mother and father were a little... thrown off), and he found himself abused by his father, both physically and psychologically. His mother, who had grown quite attached to the thought of her son surviving more than twelve years of his life, sent him right back to the adoption center. Of course, a Muggle adoption center does not know what to do with a boy of magical caliber.
Of course, he was adopted by a Wizarding family of sorts, and promptly sent to Salem Hall, and, eventually, Salem Institute, where he continued on to become an Auror. The Auror training that he went through was, as expected, intense, but, of course, he passed through that and began to go onto missions, expunging any Dark Wizards and Witches from the North American continent. His style was different, to say the least, as his utter refusal to use any spell that did more than stun an opponent made it difficult for him to apprehend anyone. However, it did not take him very long to manage himself some sort of fame in the eyes of America, catching his attention to quite a few different sections of the Ministry. One of them did, however, catch his eye, and he accepted an offer to a rather different form of Auror; the Delphics.
They were a strange form of Auror indeed, acting as a sort of international police force to any threat that spans more than one country, much like the Aurors did, but in a much more widespread area. It was also a rather secretive organization, as not many people knew about it, and neither did he before he joined up. The only caveat to joining such a strange order was that he had to rid himself of the memories of his past, which he did, of course.
Missions after that were quite a blur for him. He was sent to all corners of the globe (though he will argue that since it is a globe, it has no corners to begin with), taking down just about any international dark threat that knocked on the door, and was soon just a bit better than he thought he could ever become (not that he ever remembered that part of him...) His adventures eventually led him into the dark jungles of Africa, where he took down a man who went by the name of 'Ignus Cratar Cadamus,' a man who did not seem to be the sort who would go around doing any of the evil things that he was doing at that time, all of which were unspeakable, and something that Haru would never repeat again. Haru took down the threat, killing Ignus in the process, and leaving behind a trail that led right back to Hogwarts.
Hatsuharu is now undercover at the school as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, something not even the Headmistress is aware of.
