~+Player Stats+~
Player Name: Cassie/Violet
Activity Level: How active is the site gonna be? ^^
Other Characters: Three Player characters, as many NPCs as we need
~+Basic Statistics+~
Full Name: Alexandria Diana Rosenthorn
Nicknames: Alex, Lexi, Alexis, Professor Clumsy
Position: Headmistress
Length of Employment: She has been the Headmistress for about two months. Her original position was for Potions instructor, which she had for seven years before then. She also held the position of Deputy Headmistress for about three years.
Age: 35
Birthday: August 22th
Ethnicity: Caucasian, mostly European of some sort
Bloodline: Pureblood
Current Residence: A Wizarding community in the middle of England. Where that is, sometimes she does not even know.
~+Physical Statistics+~
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 121 lbs.
Hair Color and Style: Her hair color is a deep but vibrant red, and ends an inch or so below her shoulders.
Eyes: She has an eye color that flickers between a sky blue and a moss green.
Face: Her facial figure is narrow, but it still holds quite a bit of goofy dorkiness, unless, of course, she is incredibly angry at something.
Figure: She holds a rather skinny figure with a modest bust line. Her figure seems to match the rest of her, but somehow, she still looks incredibly awkward with it.
Tattoos, Scars, and Distinguishing Features: She has absolutely no random distinguishing features, though she has a slightly strange looking scar on the back of her left shoulder from who knows what. Sometimes even she does not remember where it happens to come from. As for tattoos, she has a magical tattoo of a hippogriff on her lower stomach. Every so often, it will flex its wings majestically.
Jewelry: Various forms of jewelry that span from those crazy muggle rubber bracelets that have cute little 'Livestrong' sayings on them, to magical protection amulet necklaces. She can wear any amount of random jewelry at any given point in time. Usually it ends up being quite a bit.
Clothing Style: Extremely professional. She might not seem it, but her dress matches exactly what she wants others to think of her; as an extremely well-dressed Headmistress that can get just about anything done that she puts her mind to. Despite this dress, she is still rarely taken seriously (unless of course, she is incredibly angry.)
~+Personality Statistics+~
Interaction: She interacts with other people in one of two ways; either like a headmistress (as many would see her as) or as an awkward adult who just does not know how to bring half of her ideas across. When attempting to be serious and managing to succeed in that task, she has a love of everything that involves helping students get from point 'Should not wave that wand' to 'Now you can totally wave that wand, though you should wait till the Muggles are not looking before you do that.' Rarely does one see this side, however, as she tends to be a little bit more socially awkward than one would expect.
Rosenthorn is an awkward person, both physically and emotionally. Her early school life was not all that great, and she rarely got along with anyone. As a teacher in her early years, she found herself hiding out in her classroom while the other teachers spoke amongst themselves. When she became the Deputy Headmistress, she obtained more respect and attention, and she had absolutely no idea what to do with it. It only made matters worse when McGonagall retired and she ended up with the Headmistress position, overwhelming her. This translates into complete nervousness and mental breakdowns that many people see on the surface. Though the students will only see her basic mistakes (such as tripping down the stairs or walking into the wrong room), it is not a hidden fact that she is an incredibly strange person, probably one who at least somewhat seems unfit for her job.
Rare is the person who tells her that she should be fired, however. This might be because, despite her incredible ability to be incredibly awkward at incredibly inopportune moments, she is keeps well composed enough when the time comes for her to beat down and get something done; whether this thing be a simple grading of a paper or pushing her way through hordes of Inferi to save the first year who got him/herself caught up in a very 'Boy Who Lived' kind of disaster matters not. She treats every piece of school related dilemma as an important affair, as no child is ever too menial to her. It may not seem like it, though. She tends to look a little distracted from time to time; whether this be from a moment of worldwide turmoil that caused a child's plea for better food (though only the gods know why one would want that), or simply because she has had a rather exhausting day is beyond just about anyone. It just happens.
Inner Being: Inside, she attempts to be composed, but, somehow, she manages to fall over everything, say the wrong things at the wrong time, and happens to just be inappropriate at the worst possible moment. Her composure seems to only come out when she wants it to, and there seems to be a little panic gremlin pressing all of her buttons so that she gets incredibly confused and makes all of these little blunders. Inside, she just wants to do her job rather well, and, if she were not so clumsy, she could do said job much better than she seems to be able to.
She is unsure of herself in the sense that she just does not know if she can make it through, even though she manages to keep the students safe and the paperwork done; that is all a Headmistress does, right? Regardless, her countless attempts at being a good Headmistress ending in complete disaster causes her self-esteem to take a large hit, one she seem to not be able to bounce back from. Though many people may see her as plucky, she is depressed, and has a hard time bouncing back, at least internally. Sometimes she takes this to a select few people, knowing full well what happens if she just bottles it all inside.
Intelligence: She is an incredible potions maker, having made an insane number of books on the topic. Also, she has the ability to keep in her head any spell from any transfiguration, charms, or herbology book. Dark arts is something she has great knowledge on, and she can counter most of the threats of the sort that can be found in a book. Of course, she has knowledge on past headmasters and headmistresses (they will not let her not know about it).
Fears: She fears losing her job due to her own incompetence, and dying from some insane Dark Wizard who thought he could be the next Voldemort. Ironically, she does not fear Voldemort. He is rather dead, after all. There are various things that she may fear, but she has absolutely no idea if she is entirely afraid of them or she is just jittery.
Goals: As a Headmistress, she wants to get through her first year without any extreme blow ups in her face from parents who just do not think she is cut out for the job. She also wants to choose a sufficient and compatible Deputy.
Good Characteristics: Patient, Caring, Loyal, Lovable, Intelligent, Reliable, Protective, Friendly
Bad Characteristics: Self-conscious, Panics easy, breaks down fast, awkward, unsure, insecure
Secrets: She secretly has various networks in the Wizarding World that can tell her, at any given time, what could possibly happening in the world. She rarely gives this information to anyone.
Likes: potions, many various spells and magical trinkets, random Muggle trinkets (she thinks airplanes and computers have magic in them and regularly brings up this concern to the Ministry of Magic), the little Muggle candy known as 'Sixlets' (how do they fit something so round and chocolatey in such a small sized ball?)
Dislikes: Lemon drops, the portraits bickering over the best course of action, angry parents, her own awkwardness, angry teachers, students that turn to Dark Arts, Dark Arts in general, history, Muggle academics (they seem so DULL!)
~+Abilities and Possessions+~
Special Abilities: She is an extremely skilled Occlumens, and is a Secret Keeper to so many people sometimes she does not even remember the secrets sometimes. She has a license in Apparition, and, though will occasionally splinch herself, is skilled enough to focus when she absolutely needs to. As for a Patronus/Animagus form, her Patronus is that of a rather uptight tabby cat, though she rarely has the self-esteem to conjure one these days, and her Animagus form, for which she is registered for, is that of an osprey.
Magical Strengths: Potions, transfiguration, charms, and DADA were her subjects in school, and they remain her top abilities now. Being extremely intelligent in such matters, she knows her way around most of the more advanced spells or potion brews, and is ready to use such magic if she absolutely has to.
Magical Weaknesses: Pretty much anything that requires very little magic, such as basic Care of Magical Creatures or History of Magic, along with anything that involves the non-magical world.
Other Abilities: She is insanely HORRID at living in the Muggle world.
Wand Properties: Like her, her wand is extremely hard to understand. It is an inflexible thing, at about ten inches, with a core of chimera scale from an extremely grumpy chimera, and therefore the wand tends to be temperamental. The wood of the wand is Elm, however, rounding the wand out when she is in need of a quick spell.
Possessions: Well, a woman like her very much needs a Rememberall, and she has one for those quick memos. She also has a Pensieve, buried somewhere under all that mess of her's. Also in her mess is an Invisibility Cloak that was just purchased a month ago, a Snuffbox she had successfully transformed that had received an O (It was once a 'Rat') a Time Turner, and various magical protective charms and potions equipment from either fans or her old Potions office. The only object she has a hold of is her old Dumbledore's Army coin, which she keeps as a charm around her neck.
~+History and Family Information+~
Family: As part of a prestigious wizarding family, Alexandria can date back to her great-great-great grandfather, Aldorius Ronaldo Rosenthorn, a pioneer in potion making. There are various potionmasters in her family, most of them having at one point been in Hogwarts, leaving their own impression on the school. Her father used to work alongside Horace Slughorn, and they both published various works back in the day. It was only natural that Alexandria inherited the title of 'Potionsmaster' of Hogwarts, though her family was overjoyed when the former Hufflepuff became the Headmistress. They send her various chocolates monthly to prove it.
Pets: These pets are either rather unfortunate for stumbling into the care of this woman, or they are incredibly lucky that they are either relatively independent or need little food. She owns a Kneazle named Mina, a pure white ferret by the name of Donald, an Augurey named Aubrey (She was duped a few years ago into thinking the egg would turn into a great phoenix, but felt guilty that the creature would have otherwise be eaten alive had she not taken it in), and an English mastiff by the name of Buster. Each of these creatures (maybe aside from Aubrey and Buster), constantly roam the hallways, keeping their eyes out for various unsafe things to warn Rosenthorn about. It is a miracle she can even keep their names straight, and that she has not adopted into her custody many more.
History: Alexandria Rosenthorn was born to wonderful, pureblood parents. Her upbringing was that of a semi-wealthy family's, her mother having come in the inherited fortune from a distant relative's will. Her father, a grand Potionsmaster, also made quite a large sum of money, but usually poured most of that into the business of making potions once more. Not that that stopped the family from doting upon Alexis at every possible moment. She found herself in the possession of things some wizards and witches normally did not get, even at an early age. Granted, a child did not usually ask for 'Wizard's First Potion's Kit,' and, for all intents and purposes, neither did Alexandria. She did, however, take that kit and became fascinated by the idea of potion making, and took to it like her father did.
Soon enough, she found herself in Hogwarts, sorted into Hufflepuff house, praised by many of her instructors for her ability to absorb pretty much any sort of book knowledge from anywhere she was allowed to learn it. Her first year was eventful for others, but not for her; she was very much out of the spotlight, seeing as Harry Potter was in his fourth year at the time.
During her second year, she rarely stood up to the woman that was named High Inquisitor, who soon was trampled by centaurs about as soon as she became 'Headmistress.' Though she did become a miniscule part of 'Dumbledore's Army,' it was more to learn how to defend herself and her friends when the time called for it.
It was not until she reached her third year that she received a little more attention; this time, in the form of the new Potions Professor, Horace Slughorn.
Though clearly not as adept at Potions as Harry Potter (or the Half Blood Prince, as she later found out), she was a glimmer to Professor Slughorn, who saw her for what her father saw her as; a prodigy of a Potionsmaster, possibly holding such a teaching position as he held now, and he told her so, countless times. Of course, she still kept quiet, though proved her Hufflepuff loyalty when the school was attacked that year; many of her friends found out her worth as a witch when she repelled (albeit with much struggle) a Dark Wizard and prevented him from entering the classroom they had horded themselves into.
She had made many more friends after that, though it was short lived, as the death of Dumbledore affected her quite a bit. When she returned home, she was told she was not to go back to Hogwarts the next year by her parents; and it was the only parental order she disobeyed by marching onto the train with the rest of her friends the day school was supposed to start. She was part of the resistance, very much not liking all the dark arts that went on in the school, and eventually participated in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside the rest of her friends. Though she did lose a few friends, she, as well as those who survived, managed to eventually graduate Hogwarts, and continue on their separate ways.
Alexandria, having exhibited quite a knowledge of potions, was taken as Slughorn's apprentice upon her graduation. Eventually, when he felt he could just teach her absolutely no more, he retired, and left the position to her. She seemed to be incredibly talented at her job, able to take on even the toughest of students and having them pass through their classes... well, at least most of them anyways.
It is still unknown why exactly the position of Deputy Headmistress was ever given to Alexandria, but, when she was given the position, she nearly fainted. Regardless, she persevered through it, managing to make it to year three in her position before a mere two months ago. When McGonagall retired, and gave the position up to her Deputy, Alexandria did faint this time, something she rarely did without a good reason. For a woman with very little experience outside of school, Alexandria felt extremely underequipped...
But she has since adjusted... though slightly.
